Default Server

Hello, I wondered if u can help me with this.
I am trying to make a server program that can hold lets say like 10 connections with a winsock array in vb.net 2008. I have the knowledge only to establish a connection between only 2 computers (server + client) but not a server that can hold more than 1 clients. Any tips or tutorials that can teach me how I can do this ? thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

Fist you need to get winsock and arrays out of your head and get into a .NET mindset.

What you want here is a multi-threaded TCP server application.

This is not going to be a cakewalk, but it is not that hard, the biggest issues will arise from threading not the connections per se.

I suggest you start here

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...tcpclient.aspx

And do some heavy reading on multi-threaded TCP servers in .NET.
