Default OleDBDataReader

Can any one tell me the practical/Technical difference between OleDbReader and OleDbDataAdapter ?

Problem
Im very new to .Net and just started. I Created a DB connection through OleDbConnection. Then I was trying to configure the Data
Adapter. But In the connection box (1st Step of the wizard) I can't give my connection name. But If I create a connection by Server Explorer then I can give the Connection name in the Connection box (Drop down box). Then I stopped to use data adatpter and started to use Datareader.
1. Is it ok to use Datareader instead of DataAdapter?
2. How can I connect to a Datagrid by using Reader ?

(Am I asking very lengthy topic ???)

Tons of thanks

A datareader is readonly and forwardonly. With a dataadapter you can do inserts, updates, deletes, move backwards, etc.

For performance reason, if you are going to read the data and then just display them, DataReader will definitely be your choice.

More details can be found here

Thanks michael_hk and Reboot.

..But still im having this problem. In my dataAdapter configuration im not seeing my OleDBConnection name. If I connect through Sever explorer then I can see the connection name but If I use OleDbConnection then I cannot see.

Why is this ?

Read the documentation complete with example code:
