Default Writing XML Documents

I'm making a program that will take user input and output an XML document. I'm using the XMLTextWriter right now, but I'm not sure if its gonna do everything I want it to. Lets say I want to add a node in between 2 other nodes, can I do that? It seems that the XMLTextWriter just adds lines to the end of the document, and won't allow you to go backwards. If this is true, how would I go about this?

Default

use an XMLDocument object for more control over your XML document.
