Default Need some guidance

Hello everyone. I started teaching myself vb about 3 months ago. It's coming along very slowly. I am trying to do something that I believe should be really simple, but I just can't figure it out. I would truly appreciate any assistance at all with this little project.

ok, so this is all I want this to do:

I want to add a title and some text. By virtue of the button press I want to save the text body to a text file in a specific location, naming the text file with the First Text box text.

So, for example if I put How to Skateboard in the title, and then whatever text in the body, I want it to save the file "How to Skateboard.txt" in a specified location (can be hardcoded) obviously containing the text from the second text box.

It just seems like it should be really simple, but after reading threads and books and more threads, etc, etc I just can't wrap my head around it.

Thank you very much for any assistance at all!

John

PS I am using VS2010

If you look under the System.IO namespace there are a lot of classes to do with reading and writing files. In this case you are probably best looking at the StreamWriter class as it will give you an easy way to write out text based data.
