You do have to specify all of the parameters.
.DrawString("Location: Home", Me.Font, Brushes.Black, 0F, 0F)
Also, make sure that you are using an appropriate Brush color, because you can't see black on a black background.

I haven't worked on the pong game in a few days, but I'll try to do what you said and get it to work. I also figured out the problem with drawing the background bitmap to prevent slime trail. When you draw all these bitmaps, doesn't that take up alot of memory if the game goes on for a long time?

It will only take up a lot of memory if you are loading the bitmap a lot. Drawing a bitmap doesn't take up a lot of memory. You'll just overwrite the existing pixel data on the graphics plane.

Oh, so it's not like a layer thing where it keeps all of the bitmap data when it is drawn over? It only loads the visible pixels into memory like a 3D game does?

Yes, it is not like a layer thing. There are no layers. Layers have to be implemented. Pixel overwriting is the basic form of graphics, and applications that layer things have to implement their layers.
