You should make a structure or a class to hold this data because that seems to be what you're trying to do... except you are currently trying to 'piggyback' on to the picturebox, that is, add things on to the picturebox without actually creating your own structure/class.

I have a subroutine that holds all my data. The picture box is made in a different sub.

One more thing I just thought of now. How do I allow the user to save and load files?

A File I/O Tutorial. The exact data that you need to save and load depends on your needs. It is not a command that will magically populate all of the variables (public and private) on the form.
