Default Treeview - my homemade version

Well initially all I wanted was to use the Paint event to better render the text - specifically to get it to recognise the vbTab character... well the TreeView doesn't offer a Paint event. Then I tried making my own node by inheriting the TreeViewNode ... but that doesn't work too well either.

So then as a bit of fun I wrote a complete replacement.. well almost, but some of the original is somewhat convoluted.. so now I have a totally new one.. almost plug compatible but not quite. And there are some other events one could add if needed.

And it has other nice features - such as much easier to open and close nodes..

anyway.. it was fun for a few days... could still be tidied up a bit... but... well I like it... and my client is very happy with the application I wrote using it.

And I still find it quite impressive just how much, and how fast, VB.net can achieve ... anyone remember VB3 !!

(I think I uploaded the zip attachment - i'll see in a minute)
well I don't know .. it said it uploaded the attachment ... but I can't see it
but it is here www.uribe.me.uk/rufile.aspx?f=ruTreeView.ZIP
