Question .net Framework


Is there any way to run a vb.net application on a computer that dosen't have Microsoft.net framework installed

Nope, but you can always have like a read-me, or just tell the person that he/she needs to download .net framework in order to be able to run this application. It's a windows update, http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
it's one of the optional choices.

I believe you can configure some installers such as Inno to check and automatically prompt for a download.

No, you can't. The .net framework isn't a compatibility thing, it's what actually runs the programs made in the .Net languages.
There is no way around it, unless you can write the equivalent .

Speaking of which, it might be possible to bundle Mono along with your application. Not sure, but I think it is GPL. Check the licence to see if you are allowed. Caveat: Its not finished yet (still beta) and is not supported by MS.
