Default installation package


Im using VB 2005 Express, how would i go about creating an installation package for my software?

in 2003 you go to new project then selectio nthat project type - but it appears that isnt the case here!

Pretty sure you go to Build -> Publish 'name of app'. Then you just follow the on screen instructions.

Thanks, I have just done that!

Like in 2003, I would like the option to incude some files in a certain directory structure on installation.
In 2003 there was a tree view type thing where you could add files to the main files, to start menu, ect.
Am I being dumb, but how can I do that with Express?

It seems that the Express products do not have setup and deployment projects.

You may want to go with a third party setup packager, but note that I'm not sure what the legal situation is with the Express products.

i simply want to deploy an application with files and folders within the programs folder.

I dont really get how to use it, particularly how I would select my particular project and what files ect. :S

What other .exe files does it create? When you say your project, are you talking about a setup project or your program's project?
