Default Location on Start Menu

Hi
I have created a deployment package with Visual Studio 2005. The set up works well.

There is one problem however. The entry in the Start Menu to start the application is in the wrong place. It is not with the other programs in Start| All programs. It is above the horizontal line between "Accessories" and "Windows Updates" in "All Programs". I can move it down among the other main programs after the installation has happened, but is there a setting I need to change that will do this automatically?

Thanks

Are You are placing the shortcut for your install in the following location?
Documents and Settings > All Users > Start Menu
If I understood the problem it should be placed in:
Documents and Settings > All Users > Start Menu > Programs

You should be able to designate the location in your install.

If it's a ClickOnce deployment, then no you cannot control where the icon lands - it's one of the simplifications/limitations of the ClickOnce technology.

If you're doing a normal setup project, it should be very easy to choose where the icon lands - just build the correct folder structure in the file system of your setup project. If you don't know what I'm talking about, right-click on your setup project and go to view->file system and it will show you the layout of your installation.
