Default Minimum .NET version

Hi,
After I write a VB2008 program, how do I determine what is the minimum .NET framework version that is required to run this program? Can Visual Studio check this for me?
Also, how do I find the minimim operating system? In particular, I need to know if the program will run on Windows 98.

Thank you.

In the configuration of your project, you select the version of the framework that you want to use. The selected version will need to be installed for your program to run.

The .NET Framework can be installed on windows 98, so your program will be able to run there.

I am using Visual Studio 2008. It seems the only options I have is to set platform as X64, X86 or Any CPU.
How can I set .NET Version to 2.0 ?

Thank you.

You can configure it while creating the project, or in the compile settings page. Take a look at the pictures
