Default different versions for XP users

I support on an in-house application in VB.net that gets updates fairly frequently, but must be back-version supported (users should be using the most recent version, but may have a need to use an older version to recreate data). Each PC that this software is installed on is accessed by several users, each with their own XP Logon.

Is there a way to install a version across users in XP? i.e. If the most recent version is installed for user XYZ, then all users should have that version.

It's actually very easy to have same version across all users in .NET. The easiest way is to have your program functionality stored in Shared Assembly instead of private assemblies. That way once one person updates that assembly it will be upgraded for all users.
