Default error eventType: clr20r3 P1:dfsvc.exe

Hello,
i've developed a ClickOnce VB.Net (2005 Express Edition) application, using Net framework 2.0.
My Installation program works properly on many PC, but some Windows XP OS find a problem in installing my program under non admin user.

The procedure i've said them is:
- Run Full installation under admin user (so i'm sure it and framework works properly)
- execute just MyApplication.application under non admin user.
Now the program gives the error in object (the full message is in the image i've attached)

any suggestions?
thenks

What version of .Net is running on the machines in question (is there a difference between the working ones and the failing ones)?

What service pack (OS and .Net) are you running on the various PCs?

Have you tried doing a virus scan with an update AV product on the machines in question?

Have you tried repairing / reinstalling the .Net framework on the failing machines?

If you have .Net 4 installed you could try the steps outlined in http://robindotnet.wordpress.com/201...ce-deployment/ to enable logging of ClickOnce deployments and see if that helps.

I did a few preliminary Google searches and everything interesting seemed to come back to "user doesn't have permission to <do something>", in particular touch a few registry keys.

In general, non-admin users can't install software. Maybe ClickOnce is supposed to be magic and get around it, maybe not. My guess is these non-admin users are going to have to have an administrator install the software for them. I could be wrong, but if it always works for administrators that sure seems to confirm.
