Talking Taskbar Icon

I feel almost stupid posting this, but I've spent to much time on it already. I have an app that I want to show the icon in the taskbar, but not on the title/caption bar. If I set both ShowIcon & ShowInTaskbar = True, the icon shows in both place. If I set ShowIcon = False, the icon no longer shows in the Taskbar either. Am I missing something? I only want to show the icon in the Taskbar.

It may seem silly, but the icon on the title bar is "the" icon.
You can set ShowInTaskbar to false, so you don't show "the" icon on the taskbar.
If you set ShowIcon to "false", there is no icon to show on the taskbar, so the state of ShowInTaskbar doesn't really matter.

I don't know if there is a better way to check, or another option (which is more likely), but it appears that (at least on Win XP), if the icon is showing when added to the task bar, you can after that remove it from the title bar and it will remain on the task bar.
As a quick test, a little code in the form mouse_move event might demonstrate.
Code:
Private Sub Form1_MouseMove(sender As Object, e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Me.MouseMove
If Me.ShowIcon Then 'if the icon is showing, hopefully by this time on the taskbar as well
Me.ShowIcon = False 'hide it on the titlebar, but still present on the taskbar.
    End If
  End Sub
