Default psd files

I'm trying to print different files on a Sato M-840Pro 600dpi printer - they are all .psd files. I've looked around and didn't come across any way to print the file through vb, unfortunately. What I'd like to know is - is it possible to open up the program(gimp) with vb and send the print command through gimp?
