Default Excel Charts

Ok. I need to create like 12 or 13 charts in Excel. I was thinking of using ms chart , but i havent used vb6 in a long time(a couple of years). So i figured i would go with excel. I have the basic idea of how to put a chart into Excel. The missing link is putting about 12 or 13 of these into excel so the company can print them all out at once. Any ideas or tutorials on this? Also, one more thing i havent got is how do change the legend titles and the headers in the excel legend? I know how to do the series and that stuff.

Are you doing this in .Net, or in Excel VBA?

For changing the legend, the easiest way to get started is to record a macro while doing it manually.

For adding 12 of them, just use a loop... I'm not quite sure which part of that you need help with, so you'll need to clarify your question a bit.

Im doing it in .NET. Which is where the data will be collected into. As far as the number of charts i was wondering if they would stack on top of each other or not? Or would I have to make some adjustments to there location as they come into the excel sheet? Or do they automatically go under the one before it?

Have you found the answer to your problem yet? I'm working on a similar project and have a similar question

I'm not that great with charts, but the place to start is with Excel VBA, using the Macro Recorder, and then translating it over to .Net code when done.

The macro recorder is found within Excel via Alt|Tools|Macros|RecordMacros... Then make your Chart(s) and then Stop the recorder and see what code was produced.

If doing 12 or 13 charts, I would use separate Chart Sheets, and then loop though them all later Printing them all. Personally I prefer to create all my charts manually ahead of time in a template, it's easier than creating them programmatically, but to create a new one programmatically, you'll need code something like:
Code:
Dim cht As Chart cht = xlApp.Charts.Add
VBA would use the 'Set' keyword in the above, whereas .Net would not.

To loop through the charts and print them:
Code:
For Each cht In xlApp.Charts cht.Print Next cht
That's the very basics, but I would definately make use of the Macro Recorder to get a sense of what you want to do. Let us know if you get stuck!
