Actually... I'm having the same problem that a lot of people have! Where can I get vb6... any ideas?

I may have to go straight from vba to .net (and study vb6 in the meantime to make the transition easier)...

I got mine on Ebay. Search for both Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual Basic 6.0.

I got Visual Studio, which also comes with VC++, J++, etc, but I never, ever touched any of it but the Visual Basic 6.0, and this would be the same for you.

Don't buy from a store, they'll charge like $800.00 (if they still have it). I got mine on Ebay a long time ago, and it was around $200.00. Ok, well, that was a long while ago, so I have no idea of availability and pricing now... But I'll bet there are still copies to be found...

In addition to what Mike_R says you may also try your luck at the following places:

http://www.pricegrabber.com/
http://www.atomicpark.com/

I also know it part of the MSDN Subscription and perhaps it's available within your organization.
