Default Selecting Data For An Excel Chart Using VB.Net

I am working on an application where I am programming in VB.Net (2010) to use Excel to create and print a chart for me. The data for the chart I need to populate (an XY scatter chart) starts in a known cell (H3) but the number of data points (the number of rows that I have available each time) can vary. In Excel I would normally click on cell H3 and then shift+ctrl+arrow down to select to the end of the data and then shift+ctrl+arrow right to select the column next to it for the Y values. I have seen a few examples of how to program this from within VB.Net but can't seem to get any to really work. Secondly, after I get the range of cells selected, how do I set that range as the data series?

Any assistance or guidance at all would be greatly appreciated.
