System BIOS

Does anyone know how to get past a System BIOS password? the only way i can think of is taking your computer apart and disconnecting the power switch and connecting it back

Only way I know is to pull the jumper on the motherboard to reset the bios. You need to have your motherboard manual to know which one to swap around.

ohhhhhhhhh..... yeah thats what i meant by the powerswitch... ther has to be another way

I figured that was what you were saying, but like I say I don't know of another way. You might watch to see what crazed-lunatic and cheifredbull have to say on the subject though. I suspect they both know more than they tell images/icons/smile.gif.

Find the CMOS battery and pull it out. Wait a few seconds... voila. BIOS reset. No password.
There are other non-hardware ways to get around BIOS password, but that is, in my opinion, hacking, which I am not at liberty to divulge information about on this forum.

I think there are some BIOS crackers around. if you look around on the web, I'm sure you'll find one
