a new member has 2 little question

i searched 4 some answers 2 my questions but i have found nothing..

my ques are:

1 - how can i use MS-DOS prompt with vb, i mean write a command in it ex: cd..

2 - how can i send an email 2 hotmail using winsock?

1. I don't understand what you want to accomplish

2. Does Hotmail has a smtp server or is it webbased?

1. You can use the Shell command to use ms dos commands, there are loads of really good examples of this for a search to find.

2. You will need to have a look on MSN to see if you can find its settings. It is web based but has a http way of synchronising between the email server and outlook or the email client. Hotmail is configured automatically on outlook so i have no idea about the settings.
