Since installing Zone Alarm, I'm getting these two alerts whenever I compile my app in VB6:

Do you want to allow COM Surrogate to access the Internet?

app: dllhost.exe

Do you want to allow MS DTC console program to act as a server?

app: msdtc.exe

Is this normal from the VB IDE or is something freaky going on here?

Its something withing zone alarm, if zone alarm wasnt running, you wouldnt have even have known they were running. Yes they are normal for Vb to do. I use BlackIce, so much better of a firewall!

Wow, that's good to know that I'm not the only one, but guess what? I just heard from somewhere else that they don't experience this with Zone Alarm!

(The plot thickens.)

If Zone Alarm is right and the IDE is trying to access the Internet, some how that just seems like something that shouldn't be happening when you compile your code.

You think ZA could be giving a false report and actually there's nothing really trying to access the Internet?

Its a zone alarm setting, Ive used ZA Pro, and I didnt like it, thats why I went to Black Ice.
