Loading pics

I have a slide show type application that allows the viewer to go back and fourth by using a small toolbar. I want it to run directly off a CD, the only problem I have is that the first time you go through the slide show there is a rather annoying drag while the computer is loading all of the pictures. Once loaded the program runs fine. Does anyone know a good way of fixing this problem?

In case it helps, I have the toolbar on a seperate form from the slide show and the slide show has only one image that encompases the entire screen.

Well maybe you could add a splash screen and do the code for all your pictures while the splash screen is up. When it cycles through all the pictures, the splash screen disappears and no more delay?
