I just had an idea....For all I know, it will be shunned, but you never know. Some of us regulars at the forum are in the chat room a lot, and that gave me an idea for the next Coding Contest. Who can make the best, most powerful and easy to use chat program?

We could use the winner's idea as our official chat program... Let me know what ya think

Considering I could only get 4 people to try a sorting contest....I would imagine the turnout for something like this would be sparse at best....

Still, if there is sufficient interest....

Actually, I was thinking of something with Winsock or INet....

that's VERY hard.... would take a long long time like a year to make... there are so many irc commands and stuff

Well, I'll back out right now since I already did that project (LAN chat program using Winsock). I use it to communicate with my collegues back in the US.

Attached is a screenshot of the project.

I wasn't thinking of including commands and stuff.....My image would be nothing like mIRC, more like MSN Messanger or something like that....

But oh well, nevermind. If that's too hard, no problem, I was just trying to suggest something

You mean Tic-Tac-Toe?

Yeah, I'm working on a TCP multiplayer pong...

yeah, the tic-tac-toe was easy. Pong doesn't sound too hard. The actual MAKING of the game would be harder than implementing 2-player.

I'm going to post it here so I don't have to start a new thread:

we got a new high number of users today: 8 :)
