How could I use my program to send a email using a text box for the address and a textbox for the message?What else do I need?
What controls are there for this sort of thing?..please help!!thanks in advance..

Did you download the tutorial and read through it carefully? I think it's pretty self-explanatory, if you look at it for a while. Remember, we aren't just going to do it for you. Have a look at the tutorial, send an e-mail using it, and I think you'll get the hang of it

To send a little message via VB is easy. If you check out my example, all you have to do is automate the sending of commands through Winsock, and voila - instant email.
