Had a severe power surge from the heavy thunderstorms that came through the area this afternoon. It took out 2 UPS and the servers that we run on. I was able to get the site back up. No damage to components. The IRC server is another story. The surge took out the boot drive. This drive also holds all the databases for IRC services. The scsi controller can't start the drive. I took it out and sent it to the company I used to work for to see if they can retreive the data. I don't think they can. I never had much luck with scsi drives when they failed.
To make a long story short, IRC will be down at least to the end of this weekend when I can put in a replacement and reload the OS. More than likely everyone will have to re-reg their nicks and channels.
