Just had to share with everyone my thanks to Thinker and Rhoarke for their big assist to me in my network and satellite modem problems.
They spent the better part of today on IRC helping me get everything up and running. Absolutely amazing. They both deserve big kudos for getting my office back up to speed.

Once again guys Thanks for all the time spent figuring it out. I never could of done it without you.

I wasn't part of this, but I would also like to say thank you....

I joined this forum in March, and, well, didn't know anything about programming. Now I have skipped two (yes, 2) grades in my computer class at school, and I still find it easy (they won't let me skip a third.) This is all becuase of the members of this forum, helping me with VB, teaching me about Windows, and doing a whole lot that you probably don't realize you are doing. I know that many of you commit a ton of time to this forum, and helping people out, and this has been demonstrated many times. Installing a hard drive being on of them. (Which Thinker and dcl3500 helped me with on IRC...(yes, I did it!)). Not to mention all of the VB help they have given me. I can now move on to help others who have run into the most common problems that used to stop me for days trying to figure out. This is really an amazing community, with lots of dedication coming from all over the world. Again, as dcl3500 said, "I never could of done it without you."

Is there anything this man doesn't know??? images/icons/wink.gif
To the rest of the forum, just for being great. For EVERY single problem I have ever come across, an answer has been found on here somewhere. Nice one.

I think its far better for a person to be excellent at one thing, than to be just 'okay' at everything. Thus, I am concentrating more and more on DirectX now, and a little Winsock, whereas I have, and will NEVER learn to use databases and SQLs.

I agree Squirm - i would consider Winsock and internet programming as my forte. And I also hate databsing. images/icons/wink.gif
