Howdy y'all.

Well, I was browsing away as per usual, another mundane evening in the Chief home, when i came across this little beauty. Its a massive site, with loads of examples of what to do, and what not to do.

If nothing else, some of the design mess-ups in here are hilarious. I laughed out loud several times, and we can all stand to learn something from it i reckon (except hand of course...... images/icons/wink.gif)

Great site! They've got my mantra down pretty well.

"Novelty for novelty's sake is never a good thing."

and now, something that is sure to make some people mad:

"Scrollable forms are a sure sign of inexperience in graphical user interface design."

I think I'm going to have to bookmark that page and quote it from time to time when people ask me how to make their user interfaces uglier images/icons/wink.gif

scrollable forms are bad? i wouldn't know as i'm not a true expert images/icons/wink.gif, nor do i use them. but i was reading a readme by a coder that worked where i do before me, and she made use of scrollable forms claiming that it was the best way to handle this particular app. the app was one designed as a legal form for lawyers. would you mind sharing some info/attitude on why they're not good?

<font color=orange>LOL</font color=orange>

The tabbed dialog hall cracks me up every time.
How can these ppl think that their interfaces are even nearly usable?

Ah well.....
