Well i was just wondering, why the size of the service packs of vb are larger than the program itself ? They are deploying a total new program ?

The size of Visual Basic can't be measured just by the directory in which it resides.
Many other files across the directory structure need to be updated as well, including .ocx's and .dll's.

The Visual Basic service packs are only about 30 MB! They're TINY! I think your talking about the Visual Studio service packs, which are around 100-200 MB.

Well , in visual studio installation it says that the disk space needed to vb is 50mb. And the last sp(sp5) is more than 50 mb. But it is not the point. The point is, there's so much bugs int there that you have to create such a big sp?

Does your installation include everything in VS, because the SPs do. Remember that they contain updates and fixes for everything in VS not just the stuff that you're using.

You should be right. This stuff started because i'm getting concerned about a project i'm develping that have so many intermitent bugs, that when i found the size of SP that i think it can solve at least some of then.
