Where do I go to get the Managed DX documentation? I only know VB.NET, and I'd downloaded the DX9 SDK, but this was the one that only came w/ C++ documentation, so obviously that didn't help me. Help that anyone could offer would be nice.... thanks so much.

Maybe try the other one (either the 10/3 or 7/21)? I know when I downloaded it there wasn't very much documentation for the managed API.

I've actually downloaded both, but I still don't get the managed DX documentation I'm looking for.... and don't you understand me?? I have NEVER EVER used DirectX before, and I use Visual Basic.NET, not C++...... so I'm looking for a strictly beginner tutorial for using the DX9.0 SDK and Visual Basic.NET.

Umm if you download the Summer 2003 or Summer 2004 SDK Update, you should get documentation for VB.NET. I don't think it came with the original DX9 SDK.
