Hi, just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. Currently, we are using VB6 and Crystal Reports 8.5 to generate reports. However, I've been asked to develope some new reporting tools that use xml/xsl, I guess they want to move away from Crystal. These new reports are not web based, there's no transfering of data, so not only am I confused on how to do this, I am failing to see the rewards.
I can read and write the data to and from an xml file. But it would have to parsed to say, an MSFlexGrid, or displayed in Explorer. CR has a nice viewer to works great. Seems like a step backwards, but all I hear is how this is the "way to go".
Obviously I'm quite confused. If anyone can help straighten me out, I'd appreciate it.
