Hello everyone, I want to make a program to launch itself with Windows STARTUP and as an icon in the quicklaunch part of the Windows toolbar(where the clock and display settings are)...I don't want it to start up with Windows by simply placing a shortcut it the startup folder, is there another way??
what would be the code that I could write so that when the icon in the quicklaunch bar is clicked it would load my form...???

Both of these capabilities are in the Forum Checker you can download from
the Code Library. It has the ability to install itself in the registry so that it
starts everytime windows starts. And it has the systray control too.

where would I find this forum checker and is it an application that I am to install that works with Visual Basic acting likd a plugin, or is it just pretyped out code....?

As Thinker said, look in the Code Library. It was posted by The Hand, one of our moderators (and ex-Guru, happy Hand? images/icons/smile.gif). You will find the source code there so that you can learn how its done.
