Huge SQL Query problem

Hi people, i have a problem.
I made a VB program that executes a SQL Query and fills a mshflexgrid with the results.
WEll, this SQL query is HUGE and it has lots of sub-queries. The thing is, if i use the sql query analyzer program (MS SQL SERVER 8.0) to execute the query it is ok but from VB6 i get a timeout error!
what can i do?

if that's the case why don't you just put in the store procedure and retrieve it with the command objects in vb.

One option would be to increase the values for the .CommandTimeout property of the ADO.Connection object.
