Voice Modem

Which VB control do I use to ring a phone then play a wave file down the line. MSComm doesn't seem to do it.
Am I being a newbie or do you need a third party activex control or something?

Playing wav files down a modem is slightly harder than you think. There was a recent thread on it. I'mn not sure it whoeever it was managed it or not, but I suggested sending the wav in binray first, then playing it at the other end. This would be much easier, most likely using the winsock.

I need to play the wave file to a person, use the modem to dial someone then instead of me being there and saying something I wish to just play a wave file instead. Much like if I was programing a answering machine.

Any ideas anyone?
