Edit function

I'm working a database and I want to have an edit function, however when I set it up the .edit doens't work. It looks like this in the code: Data2.Recordset.edit (the small "e" is accurate and I think that the problem) Data2.Recordset.update has the same small "u".

Addnew works just fine however, I'm stumped. Any help is much appreicated. Thanks.
