Global Recorsets

Hello,

When accessing a database using ado, is there any downfalls to diming your recordset as a global and the refering to it on any form?

It seems to work and save code as well.

I close it & open it often, but would it be ok to leave it open for frequent queries?

This would depend on your application's needs. Personally, I feel that objects and variables should be used within the minimum scope possible, but that is my opinion.
