Check For Table Linking

Hi,

I have a MDB, that has one excel sheet linked in. But it happens quite often that the MDB gets distributed around, but the XL sheet is on another location, drive etc... What I would like to do is to:

1. Check if table is attached (and available, lets say)
2. If not give message, popup linked table manager (or something)

Can this be done - or is there another way/method?

Here's one I made earlier, although there are a number of alternatives on the web. It's intended for use with linked tables between 2 Access databases, but modifying it for use with a Linked Excel file should be relatively straight-forward...

The intended implementation for this is: the form is called as the default form when the host db is first opened. It checks all the linked tables and is only shown if there are broken links. To test it, link in a table, then move the source file to another folder.
