Form display for multiple screen resolutions

Greetings.

I am currently developing my first "major" VB project. Something that has perplexed me is the best way to handle different screen resolutions. My development machine is pretty high resolution. (1600 x 1200) But my users may be using resolutions as low as (ACK!) 640 x 480 and every possible res in between! What is the most elegant way of making my forms look good on all resolutions?

TIA,
matripp

You could always try and make the form as small as possible. I think 800x600 is good enough, as I'm sure that the majority of people use 800x600 or greater. There are also many controls out there that will automatically resize everything on your form to the same ratios, but smaller\bigger as the form gets bigger.

Have a look at the "Useful Links" post in the General VB forum for some sites to for these controls on.

Another option is to make to app no bigger than 640x480 and make it none resizable. Then you don't have to worry about it at all.

A lot of people swear by sizerone or some such control from www.componentone.com (http://www.componentone.com)
