Cursors

I have made a cursor 'theme' and I would like to be able to distribute it, by creating a program that would give a preview of this and other themes I will make, then the user can use the themes by clicking ONE button.

How would I go about setting the computer to use my cursors? (ie. like going into settings / mouse / pointers and manually setting them, only automatic)

hope that makes sense.
thanks!

The registy entry that holds the details of the current mouse cursors are in

HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelCursors

All you have to do is edit the values that are in there and replace them with the list of your cursors.

If you run REGEDIT and then look at that location you will see what I mean.

But after setting all the values you still need to get the PC to refresh the list of icons as it remembers the old list. Try looking into an API call from the USER32.DLL there is bound to be something in there. I've had a quick glance but only found a way of changing the current cursors, but as a suggestion if you do change the cursor like that then it might look back in the registry and get your new values.
