winsock help

hey i used to do alot of vb6 and java programming and i used th winsock comntorl in vb 6 and just sockets in java, i wrote a simple chat server that used a socket with no protocol that i know of, i want to write a vb.net client for this server can anyone help me out???

ok buddy relax, i know nothing about the new socket control i know how ot make a socket connect, in java i used a print writer to send text out do u know what the vb equivalent to this?/ i also used a buffered reader to red the incoming text what is the vb equivalent to this?? plz try to be help ful
