Office API explanation?

Is there somewhere I can find an office API explanation? Somewhere that tells me what all the function/parameters are?

I've looked briefly around msdn.microsoft.com but haven't had much time to look too indepth.

By "Office API", do you mean the Office object model?
The help files and object browsers in VBA for each office app would be a good place to start; if you want something online then this (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/off2000/html/Off2000LangRef.asp[/url) could be useful.
