using desktop

It's possible to use desktop as a background for my app (it would be a simple animation app)? Thanks for any help!

The way many screensavers seem to do this is by capturing a screenshot of the desktop and pasting it into a borderless maximized form. So you don't really have the desktop itself as a background but a picture of the desktop, which should do for your purposes. There is a lot of code out there dealing with how to build a screensaver.
