finally finished this program at the company i'm with. intaller is built and it runs perfect. we starting burning a couple betas to test (auto starting, etc) to discover that the burned ones are SCREWY. we burned copies onto 700 mb CDRW, 700 CDR, and 650 CDR. the 700 CDRW worked on most of the machines in the office (save for an older one---@ 300 pentium w/ 8x-16x CD ROM), the others NOT AT ALL except for the machine they were burned on.

we compared this w/ a professional CD that auto started FINE on all of them.

we're trying to send about 25 of these "burned in house" copies out for testing, but need the assurance that they will work! any clue on what's going on??

btw--the mahcines that wouldn't auto start them didn't even recognize them.

thanks all

Some CD players (mostly the older ones) don't recognize the lighter coloured foil. If it's a pale green or blue, it may not work, but the darker blue ones usually do.
