Is it possible to use the open and close statements in a DHTML projecta dn make them work? I have them set up the way I want them but insted of opening and closing files on my website they are opening and closing files on the hard drive. I am using it to create a random file that the user enters some data and then my app goes and stores it in a file I open print close and then cant find it on the web site and then I lookand it is in the AOL\Download dir *I use AOL - America out of luck* dont ask me why I cause I dont know. any way is there another way to acess files on a web site, or can I change somthing to make this worm? thanks guys.

It's not going to happen unless you can access the web server as a network
drive (which would be a huge security hole.)

So is there any way I can make a file from a page on the site and add to it code that the user inputs? I can use CGI if I need to but I really need to.

Posting it back from a form to a CGI perl, PHP, or ASP page are the best
methods in use on the internet today.

I cant use PHP or an ASP, I am not liking the hard part of parsing the input in cgi, is there a way to write cgi in vb or get an form parser that works so that I dont have to writte one?
