Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a version of Easy CD Creator that is compatible with Windows XP? (Otherwise, I can't use my CD-ReWriter) :(

You'll need Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5 and this update: http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc/
Good Luck

Windows XP allows you to do a simple drag and drop into your drive and then write to cd. Just explore your computer and select the drive letter that your writer is and then you should see what I mean.
I agree though...XP has screwed all my burning programs, easy CD, ahead Nero...etc...Music Match still lets me write to disk though :)
Good luck!
I'm really not a fan of Roxio Easy Cd Creator.
Especially not version 5, because it has a lot of bugs if you use it with W2k. So, why don't you use ahead Nero?

Nux, for some reason my CD-ReWriter doesn't work with Nero Buring ROM.
I have a new CD-ReWriter that came with my Dell Machine 2 months ago.
This is my PC Spec:
Dell Dimension 8100
Pentium 4 1.7GHz 256K Cache
512MB Ram (Rambus)
40GB Hard-Disk
nVidia GeForce 3 (64MB)
15" Flat Panel Monitor (£450)
NEC CD-ReWriter 16X
Samsung DVD-ROM 8X
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft OfficeXP Professional (2002)
EPSON Perfection 1250 Scanner £120
Total: £2, 450
hehehe :D

XP's built in CD burning engine does not support DAO (disk-at-once) recording. And I hate roxio's EZ-CD Creator product for XP. The old adaptec EZ-CD creator 4.02, etc. worked great and was easy to use. I've been a Linux user for about a year now and have been burning via gnome-toaster. Great program!! I hardly ever create coasters out of blank CD's any more, and when I do it's usually my fault. Great OS (mandrake linux 8.1 & 8.2)!! I can do everything that I can do with my windoze machines. Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a Linux rant (especially since I make my living with VB).

This is also a really old topic. :) Sometimes I reply be accident
when I'm looking through old posts and forget that they're old,
but as a general rule, don't dig up older-than-one-week old
threads.
Thanks. :)
