I am trying to write some reports that interface with a piece of manufacturing software. The software is using foxpro2.6, I can access the data using a Data object and through the Jetdatabase engine query the data using SQL. The problem that I have is that the process is very slow, and that when opening the database as a dynaset so that I can 'Find' it takes an age to populate the records. Is there a better way? as I don't really want to start learning FoxPro aghhhhhh!!

Hello.

I'm not experienced in your problem, and I don't know if using ADO instead of DAO you could get better results.

But you can try a tip. Create an Access database, attach your Foxpro tables to your Access database, and then open them as standard Access tables. If you get a better result, then there must be a method of accessing to Foxpro tables better than using Jet.

Good luck
