this is the problem, my vb doesn;t allow me to make it an exe file, so do i go into note pad, and change things? Or do i add a bit at the top or bottom of the code? or
both?

You will find that it's a bit harder then that.

Either pass the app on to someone who can or
buy a copy of the full version.

Speaking of *.exes... In school, I was working on a monopoly game, and was about 85% compleated with it, when my source code was, ah... "accidently deleted" (that's the phrase used by the incompetent network guy from my school)... Anyway, I did complie it into a poor quality *.exe file before it disappeared, and I would like to go back and work on it again... does anyone know how I might go about De-compiling this file? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try searching for 'reverse engineering' on the net but beware cos most people think only hackers want that type of info and you could attract the wrong type of people.

I think I saw a decompiler of this sort on www.cgvb.com but I think it was only for p-code exes, you know, like for VB3.

There a few decompilers around for VB, but they only really work up until VB4, as the way that the exe is made.

If your code was in VB4 or less try some of the links on this site and should get close.

Looks like SeiferTime changed the Subject. qwert wanted to know how to COMPILE it, not DECOMPILE it.
