Access error

When I try to read data from an access database I get this error message.

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

I tried using access directly, but I get the same error. If I repair the database I loose a ton of data which is very bad in that case.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem or how to retrieve my data.

Are you assuming this because the size of the .MDB file shrank considerably? If so, well, this was because Access keeps all of the deleted junk hanging around for no good reason. When you compact & repair, the junk is finally deleted. If you have many records being moved around the DB, this can drastically change the size.

Now, if you actually see that records are gone that should be there, well, that is another matter entirely. You would need to show us your code everywhere there is DELETE SQL, or, maybe the Access file was unrepairable corrupted.
