Problems at seen database on other computers

This migth be a very simple and stupid question, but I am new at vb specially in databases.

I have finished my program, but when I make it an executable and try run it in another computer that does or doesn't have vb6 I get :

"Data error event hit err: Provider cannot be found. it may not be properly installed"

then I get :

"Run time error'3706':

Application-defined or object-define error"

and the program closes on me.(The program works ok in the original computer every time I run it)

Help would be appreciated

You could try making an installer for your application rather than just distributing the EXE, which would include any support for controls and Dlls (like data components) your app uses.

However, often with data-related apps you need to install a more recent version of MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) (http://search.microsoft.com/search/results.aspx?st=b&na=88&View=en-us&qu=mdac) on the target machine.
