How do I include a desktop icon

I made an icon to be used when a desktop shortcut is made by a user of my new program. When a user makes a shortcut on the desktop, I want this icon to be used. How do I do that?

not sure if this is what you mean.....but when you have your form in vb in design mode and you click on " icon " in the properties box ...you can then selecct an icon which will be put on the left corner of your form(s).when you make an .exe file from your code, this icon will be assigned to your exe file.also if you use a prog like winzip self extractor, you will also be given an option to selct an icon.

I have the folder icon already, and I don't use an unzip because my program is small. But when a user installs my program with the setup.exe (created by the Package Wizard) and uses the "create shortcut" to place an icon (button) on his desktop, I want the icon for this project to be used.
