Phone calls via modem

I Am trying to make a programm that I can take and acces the modem and use my computers mic and speakers to talk to the person that I am calling. I also want to be able to record the conversation.

wow, big ambitions. Only help i can give would be look for a .dll that you can use to access modem functions. maybe someone could help u out with that, considering ive never seen or heard of such a file. good luck anyways sounds cool, and pretty freakin difficult if even the mods and super mods didn't know.



i just read someone else's post about caller id on their modem. it reads like this:

I have made an application using the MsComm objcet to control my modem and then display the CallerID when anyone calls me. But now I want make the application be able to record any messages when I am away. To do this I converted my appliction to use TAPI3 which came with my WinXP instead of MsComm. But I could get the CallerID using the ITCallInfo object. Can anyone help me. NOTE: I used to send the command AT+VCID=1 when I used MsComm





not sure if u could use the MsComm (or TAPI3) object or not, but its an idea to try.
